Forum member Thea Bredie has organised a women-only bike ride to commemorate the life of Horsham-born poet Percy Bysshe Shelley and has sent the following invite. Please share with your female friends and partners!Dear fellow-cyclist,This is an invitation to all female cyclists to join a free and easy, relaxed ride in Horsham. I have put it together as part of both the Horsham Festival and Cycling UK's Women's Festival of Cycling. We will visit some of the places in town with a Shelley connection and then follow a section of the Riverside Walk to take us to Warnham Nature Reserve. The ride will feature some of Shelley's earliest writings. At the reserve we can have refreshments and there will be a brief talk on his later life and the continuing influence his work has had on a range of people including Gandhi, Mick Jagger and Jeremy Corbyn. The ride will start at 11:00am at the sun dial in the Forum. There is more information here:http://www.cyclinguk.org/event/ride/shelley-bike-rideand here: http://e.issuu.com/embed.html#3516018/50139637
