Midhurst Area Cycling (MAC)

Midhurst Area Cycling (MAC) was formed in 2003 by local Parish Councils and interested individuals with the support of West Sussex County Council, Chichester District Council and the Sussex Downs Conservation Board to promote, encourage and assist the wider use of cycles in and around Midhurst.

MAC’s objectives are simple - Better Health: Cycling can improve the health of all age groups from the young to the old. MAC is particularly concerned that provision is made for Midhurst Area’s young people to enjoy safe cycling as a means of promoting a healthy lifestyle from an early age, and providing a practical means of transport both within and to and from the town.    Cleaner Environment: Cycles are environmentally friendly. Every car journey not made improves the quality of the air we breathe and reduces the emission of greenhouse gases. We all will benefit from a reduction in traffic, both environmentally and economically.
